As a small group planning studio project, we analyzed the small town of Coatesville, PA, which has a population of approximately 13,000. Throughout this project, l focused on transportation patterns within Coatesville and its connectivity to major cities such as Philadelphia and Harrisburg. Below are some of the maps and graphics I created for the transportation section.

Some of the main issues in Coatesville are the lack of pedestrian infrastructure. Lincoln Highway, the main street running through the town (figure 5), has no crosswalks for more than a quarter mile. To ensure pedestrian safety and accessibility, we propose adding a crosswalk across Lincoln Highway (figure 6). There are no protected bike lanes in Coatesville (figure 7), so we suggest adding them in key areas such as 3rd Ave (figure 8), which leads to the Amtrak Station.
